Cookies
Clarumia does not use unnecessary cookies in the current version. Basic visit measurement is handled with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without advertising, remarketing or commercial tracking pixels.
Current state
Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, public advertising pixels, social media widgets, embedded maps, and third-party tools for tracking are not installed.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to understand visits and performance in aggregate. It loads the script https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js and sends technical metrics such as page views, load times, device, browser, approximate country or referrer. It is not used for behavioral advertising or individual profiles.
The only browser persistence detected is localStorage for remembering if the visitor chooses light or dark theme.
Visual preference
When the visitor changes the visual theme, Clarumia saves the value clarumia-theme in the browser. It is only used to remember the visualization preference and does not use for analytics, advertising, user identification, or profile creation.
Why there is no accept/reject banner
In the current version, no consent is requested because unnecessary cookies or persistent identifiers are not used. Cloudflare Web Analytics is disclosed here as aggregated analytics without analytics cookies. Showing accept and reject buttons when there is nothing to accept or reject could confuse the visitor.
If in the future Clarumia incorporates analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking with follow-up, remarketing, maps, embedded videos or widgets that store identifiers, configuration will be reviewed before activation. In this case, accept and reject options should be presented clearly and equally.
How to delete preference
The visitor can clear the visual preference by cleaning the site's data from their browser. They can also change the theme using the header buttons.
