How to choose the first pilot?
Look for a task that happens every week, has clear entry and exit, and can be reviewed in a few minutes. Answer frequent questions, prepare budget drafts or summarize incidents is usually better as the first pilot than automate payments or delicate decisions.
How to measure?
Before using AI, note how long the task takes and how many errors or doubts it generates. After a week, measure if time decreases, clarity improves and the reviewer trusts the result more.
Result
If the task takes little time, occurs rarely or has high risk, don't automate yet. If it's repeated, clear and reviewable, prepare a small pilot with review date and manual Plan B.
